Joy Horde, Deacon Chair
Joy joined RBC with her family in 1967. She became the church secretary in 1976, and served the church for 29 years, retiring in 2005. She and her husband, Cecil (a retired elementary school teacher) have two daughters and four grandchildren who are all active at Ridgewood. She was ordained as RBC's first woman deacon in 1985. The diaconate at Ridgewood focuses on providing ministry and spiritual support for the Ridgewood family.
